Here is a closer look at some of the most fascinating places on the African continent, typical of their region and with their own engaging tale to tell.

Paris, France: Where Romance Meets Art

Paris also referred to as the city of light, is not just a place to visit, it is a place to be. With its extraordinary monuments and monuments on the one hand, and quiet picturesque streets on the other, Paris is unique in a way that few cities are.

Anybody can tell all about the Eiffel tower or maybe speak about it for hours, but one must have the experience of seeing it all illuminated during the night. The Louvre Museum with great works of art including the “Mona Lisa” is another famous one must not miss for a photo, Notre-Dame Cathedral – a Gothic masterpiece – and whose flames were recently put out is also a good spot for a photo.

If you would like something less hurried, walk around adding some colour to your trip by visiting Montmartre, which was famous for Picasso and Monet. Spend time in a café eating buttery croissant or just sipping on a glass of wine while observing life around. It was not about watching Paris, or a part of it, but what it was like to feel it.

Rome, Italy: Step Into the Past

Rome is like a time machine. Every block you turn into, there are layers upon layers of history well preserved for every aged or contemporary eyes to see. The great suppositions of the grand Colosseam with large columns and the historical records of the Gladiators counters make it an awesome place. Next to the Colosseum the Roman Forum enables you to explore what used to be the core of roman politics.

By no means omit Vatican City Don’t miss out St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine chapel are something even without concerning religion. It’s the sheer size and history, but also the artistry that makes it memorable.

To experience something a little more local go to the Trastevere neighborhood. It has got the tiny and twisty alleyways, the family-owned restaurants and the tiny pasta restaurants that ooze Italian classic charm. Try the pasta carbonara and you will be forgiven to be in food lovers paradise.

Santorini, Greece: A Postcard Come to Life

Quite possibly, the world’s top travel destination when it comes to picture postcard natural beauty – Santorini. Awakening on the hilltops over the Aegean Sea, its houses as white as newly born lambs, its domes as blue as the sea, it looks like an idealised painting.

Suns set in Oia are particularly spectacular and there is no better time to hit this beautiful village than around a sunset time as everyone else does too. However, there are a lots of things one can do aside from the views. You can take a boat to cover the surrounding volcanic caldera, swim in the black sand beaches on the island or visit the Bronze Age Minoan ruins of Akrotiri.

Barcelona, Spain: A Busy Mix of Painting and Power

Barcelona isn’t short of beautiful places to see; it has character. Antoni Gaudí featured masterpieces in Barcelona such as the unique building of Sagrada Família and Park Güell, which makes the city look like it was built for aliens.

La Rambla is the most popular street in the city with street artists, shops and coffee houses. But for a more locals immersion, I would suggest visiting Gothic district, with its small streets opening to small beautiful squares and buildings dating back to middle ages.

Foodies, rejoice! The best thing about this area is that we get to taste tapas. You that can grab a plate of patatas bravas at a bar or some jamón ibérico and accompany it with a glass of cava.

Prague, Czech Republic: A Fairytale Come True

Prague may well be the city of dreams if you have ever thought of walking straight into an illustrate novel. Its central part seems to have elicited time with Gothic arches and alleys creating the entire view.

Charles Bridge is one of the unique icons of the medieval era engineering that will mark the beginning of your tour. From there, proceed to the Prague Castle area that has a nice shot of the town. The Old Town Square is the dominating area located in the city, and the clock is still provocatively magical for tourists.

But Prague isn’t all history. Besides, the city is famous for many art performances and excellent beer. Going for a beer in a local pub is more or less a sign of cultural tourism.

Swiss Alps, Switzerland: Nature at Its Finest

The Swiss Alps are what you see in some of those pictures in cards and dream of visiting. Mountain ranges, glacial lakes, and lovely little towns make it one of Europe’s most picturesque areas.

During the winter it is the Mecca for skiers and snowboarders. For me personally, Zermatt is a favorite because of beautiful views of the Matterhorn. It gets really busy during summer as this is the season where the Alps really turn right into a hiker’s dream destination. There are grren fields in which trial ride is possible also there are green meadows with wild flowers and fields with cows.

For an easier activity, take a ride in the Glacier Express that is a rail road that afford you some of the best sights anywhere in the world. It will also be important to have some time and take chances of Swiss chocolates and of course fondue.

Amsterdam, Netherlands: Canals and Culture

Just to make sure we are on the same page or to freshen up younger people’s memories Amsterdam is not only about the flowers and the mills which are beautiful as well. This city is a combination of waterways, bicycles and the past and I would advise anyone to wander around at their leisure.

Another is to see the city on bicycle or rent a boat in order to have another experience of the city. The Anne Frank House is a shrine to the victims of holocaust while Van Gogh Museum is the portrayal of life of one of the most famous artist in the world.

They have an image in their mind where in spring the fields of tulips spreads throughout the countryside comes alive. Return to the city for tea in a brown café, an ordinary English pub, and eat some Dutch cheese or a stroopwafel.
